In response to the calls for justice and reform in response to the murder of George Floyd (and countless others) at the hands of police, I wanted to create a series of pieces that hearkens back to an earlier time whose issues are no less relevant. The gorgeous and timeless art of Emory Douglas, chief designer of the Black Panther newspaper, seemed especially relevant.
